Congressman David Trone Addresses African Immigration, Mental Health, Criminal Justice Reform and Much More

Congressman David Trone has been about his "business", literally. Trone and his brother Robert are the owners of Total Wine and More.

Total Wine & More is America's Wine Superstore® — the country‘s largest independent retailer of fine wine. They started in 1991, opening a small store in Delaware. Today, they operate 263 superstores across 28 states and continue to grow.

As his businesses have grown and have become successful, he has also seen the inequalities in American as well. Trone has stated, quote, "I entered government to be a public servant, not a politician". As Congressman, he has tackled issues such as education, criminal justice reform, gun violence, substance use, mental health and more.

Trone feels that a seat in the U.S. Senate will enable his ability to be more affective in dealing with the issues. Trone only answers to the people of Maryland — and he’s never taken a nickel from PACs, lobbyists, or corporations. That’s why he’s been able to deliver big results for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. In the Senate, he’ll do the same.

Friday, January 12th he met with many from the Liberian community at Mosun's Kitchen in Gaithersburg, MD. to discuss issues that concern them.

State Delegate Deni Taveras addressed the excited crowd with many of David Trone's achievements, which include the erection of three community centers for under served neighborhoods in three separate cities in his district.

Also, invited to attend was Dondre' Phoenix, owner of Thirty Four Enterprises. Thirty Four Enterprise has a political service, "For The People" Campaign Service.
