Legendary Brooklyn rapper AZ has officially signed a new partnership deal with Mass Appeal Records, the independent label co-founded by Nas. This marks a major reunion between the two icons, who have collaborated for decades, for multiple projects, including their group The Firm.
AZ's eleventh studio album, Doe or Die III, serves as the final installment of his trilogy and includes collaborations with Nas and Jadakiss. The 13-track project is available NOW in various formats through Mass Appeal and Rough Trade.
Singles & Physical Releases
Ahead of the full album release, two singles have been debuted via Mass Appeal:
"So High" (feat. Mumu Fresh): A smooth, melodic track produced by Bink.
"Uniqueness": A reflective second single released on April 30, 2026.
Limited edition physical copies, including signed vinyl test presses and cassette tapes, are currently available through the official Mass Appeal Shop.
Context of the Deal
The partnership was celebrated with a private dinner in New York on April 9, 2026, attended by fellow hip-hop legends like DJ Premier, Slick Rick, and Busta Rhymes. While Mass Appeal recently ran a "Legend Has It..." series featuring artists like Big L and Mobb Deep, AZ’s new album is considered a standalone release under the label.
