The former Boyz II Men member, Michael "Bass" McCary is currently a co-host of a talk show called Soul Elixir Talk Show and has made recent public appearances with his former group members, which has led to speculation about a potential full reunion.

He left Boyz II Men in 2003 due to chronic back problems, which were eventually diagnosed as multiple sclerosis (MS). The physical demands of touring were too difficult for him to manage.
The R&B singer was diagnosed with the disease, which affects the brain and spinal chord, more than two decades ago.

“When I first saw of the ailments start to happen, it was like little back spasms at first and it would get stronger and stronger,” McCary, 54, explained.
“Once I was about 22, it started going full scale.”
Since leaving the group, he has pursued other endeavors:
Media Personality: He currently serves as a co-host on the Soul Elixir Talk Show.
Reunions: In August 2024, McCary briefly reunited with the other three members of Boyz II Men (Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman) onstage during their Las Vegas residency performance. While he did not perform, he hinted that a full reunion might be "coming".
Personal Life: McCary has been open about his battle with MS and the personal challenges he has faced, including strained relationships with his former bandmates and his children, which he discussed on an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life in 2016.

While no longer a permanent, touring member of Boyz II Men, McCary remains active in the public eye and maintains a social media presence.
