Student Suspended For Selling “Squirts” Of Hand Sanitizer To Classmates

While the entire world is gripped by fear due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, some are making gains out of people’s anxiety. It’s as if they want the virus to stay longer for them to get enough in their pockets.

A teenager in the U.K. is among those people who are taking advantage of the Coronavirus scare to load their pockets. It’s alleged that Martin Shkreli was selling “squirts” of hand sanitizer to his schoolmates at Dixons Unity Academy in Leeds. Each squirt was going for 64 cents, and by the time the school got hold of the boy, he had already made $11.

The boy got suspended from school soon after the administration discovered what he was doing.

Looking at it from an entrepreneur perspective, you’d praise the young man for his money-making scheme. However, some would say it’s just not the right time to do this because so many are scared of the deadly virus, and so, you’d be heartless to dig money from their pocket for something they consider a remedy to the spread. At the same time, it's demand and supply, again, forward thinking on the young lad's part.

Martin’s mom posted his son’s money-making scheme on Facebook. She wasn’t angry at Martin for getting a suspension. After all, the cause of his suspension will only leave you wondering why he made such a move at this time. “Well the little turd has just been expelled from school for the day after been caught charging students 50p a squirt for hand sanitizer to protect themselves from the bloody coronavirus,” Martin’s mom said in a Facebook post.

“Very hard to discipline this behavior when his dad phones him from work to call him a legend,” she added.

So far, the post has attracted more than 190000 reactions and 98000 comments. Most people are praising the young lad for his creative way of making money.

So, what did Martin do with the cash he collected?

According to Tompkins, Martin’s mom, her son bought a bag of Doritos and he’s planning to buy kebab with what’s left.

“I can’t keep up with the comments. For those asking, he made £9! He bought a multipack of Doritos and saving the rest to buy a kebab later,” she said in a Facebook post
