Friday Oct. 8, 2021, Washington, DC, marked a very historical date and place in hip-hop history. The Pop-up Hip-Hop Museum Experience DC celebrated several of hip-hop's pioneering legends. Those legends included Kool Moe Dee, Rakim, Nice-N-Smooth, Pete Rock and Kid Capri. There were also Posthumous inductions for the late great Heavy D and Chucky Thompson. Hosted by another pioneering legend, the Cold Crush Brothers' Grandmaster Caz.
There was a lot of star power and legends in the building to help celebrate the impact and influence these inductees have made within the hip-hop culture. Included were the Chief Rocker Busy Bee, Master Gee (of the Sugar Hill Gang), Krazy Drayz (Das Efx), Chi-Ali, Canibus, Dynamite (Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five), DJ Doo Wop, Joe Clair, Grap Luva (INI), and Big I God.
Hip-Hop Historian Jay Quan introduced all of the inductees and he stopped by ItzYourzRadioLive to recap this historic event.
