The 50th anniversary of the cult classic Let's Do It Again, is being recognized, starring Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. October 11, 2025, marks fifty years after its original release in 1975. The action-crime-comedy was the second of three films to feature Poitier and Cosby as a duo.

Plot: Poitier and Cosby play two blue-collar friends who decide to rig a boxing match to raise money for their fraternal lodge. Using hypnotism, they turn an underdog fighter (Jimmie Walker) into a champion.
Direction: Sidney Poitier not only starred in the movie but also directed it.
Cast: In addition to Poitier and Cosby, the film featured an all-star cast that included Jimmie Walker, Calvin Lockhart, John Amos, and Ossie Davis.
Soundtrack: The title track, "Let's Do It Again," was written by Curtis Mayfield and performed by The Staple Singers. It became a number one hit on both the R&B and pop charts.
Trilogy: The film is part of an unofficial trilogy with Poitier and Cosby, which began with Uptown Saturday Night (1974) and concluded with A Piece of the Action (1977).
