New Radio Show Provides Platform For Indie Artists

With payola and the monopoly of the radio industry creating a nationwide cookie-cutter template across all genres of music, local and independent artists have all been cut off at the knees.

Leaving an incredible void when it comes to grassroots, homegrown music, ItzYourzRadioLive has created a platform for just that void. ItzYourzRadioLive (formerly ItzYourzRadio) actually began as a local show on WSBY Magic 98.9 in February 2006 thru April 2009. The show disbanded when Clear Channel Communications brought out the station and made cuts across several radio stations owned by the former company.

With over 20 years in the radio / entertainment industry, including assistant Music Director at Sirius/XM Radio's The Flow in Washington, D.C and Public Relations at B.E.S.T. Sports & Entertainment in Philadelphia working with the likes of Boyz II Men, Mary J Blige, Common, Allen Iverson, Jaheim, Wu-Tang Clan, Salt-N-Peppa, Terrell Owens, Theo Ratliff and more, ItzYourzRadioLive founder and host Dondre' "Donni-Oh" Phoenix decided to go the route of the internet and aired the show once a week on BlogTalkRadio from 2010-2012. After taking a break from radio for 3 years, on June 1st, 2015 "Donni-Oh" launched ItzYourzRadioLive on the Tunein Radio app, as a 24/7 urban music format RADIO STATION. Giving a platform to not only indie artists, but also several sub-genres within the urban format such as, neo-soul, underground hip-hop, old school hip-hop and r&b, urban gospel, urban jazz, reggae, go go, club and house music.

On December 12, 2016 "Donni-Oh" expanded his radio platform and launched a 24/7 urban talk format radio station on Tunein Radio, "Soul Talk 100". ST100 covers various issues and topics, including politics, social issues, history, business, entertainment and sports. You will hear the likes of Dick Gregory, Professor Griff, Dr. Claud Anderson, Tony Browder, Jane Elliott, Tim Wise, Tariq Nasheed, Red and Blue Pill and more.

On February 26, 2017 ItzYourzRadioLive with Donni-Oh! & J-Mo, reintroduced itself to the mainstream, FM side of radio. Donni-Oh joined forces with Ron Banks of Live 97.5 FM in Salisbury, MD to bring a "taste" of the sound of ItzYourzRadioLive to the Eastern Shore (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia). ItzYourzRadioLive airs each Sunday, 4pm-7pm on WKTT Live 97.5 FM. The show features a weekly indie artist spotlight, classic hip-hop and r&b mixes featuring DJ Ill Kid, neo-soul, underground hip-hop, a sports segment featuring Devon "POV" Mason and news segment featuring the Mogul Circuit, as well as community leaders. ItzYourzRadioLive also provides weekly FREE ticket giveaways to it's listeners to various concerts and events in the Baltimore / D.C. area.

ItzYourzRadioLive's co-host, Jonathan "J-Mo" Molock brings energy and a wealth of music industry knowledge and leverage. J-Mo is founder and CEO of the Jonathan Molock Agency, which is a full service Audio ,Lighting ,Video, Marketing, Promotion ,Booking ,Staging ,Artist Management, Production Management, Stage Management and Tour Management Company, which has partnered with Live Nation, working with the likes of Jay Z, Beyonce, New Edition, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Neil Diamond, Metallica and more. J-Mo's introduction into the music industry began in the mid-1990's as a Mid-Atlantic Radio and Retail Marketing Manager for Sony Music Entertainment.

ItzYourzRadioLive not only provides an opportunity for indie artists to air their music on mainstream and internet radio, but it also provides them a platform on the BIG STAGE, literally. ItzYourzRadioLive and Live 97.5 FM partnered with I Kon Entertainment, through the Jonathan Molock Agency, enabling a local artist to open for the 2017 Summer Jam featuring Rick Ross, Monica and Fabolous, among others.
